The cable-car valley station is in Engelberg, about 45 minutes by train from Lucerne on the scenic Luzern–Engelberg line, or roughly two hours from Zurich with one change. Drivers pay about CHF 5–10 for a day of parking. Rail-pass holders travel to Engelberg free — the pass discount comes next.
The ascent runs from Engelberg over Trübsee and Stand to the summit station. Outside the Rotair's 2026 maintenance closure (10 August – 11 December) the final leg is the famous revolving cable car; during it, the new Titlis Connect covers the same climb. Either way you top out at 3,020 metres.
The admission bundles the summit's three headline attractions: the walk-through glacier cave inside the ice, the Titlis Cliff Walk — Europe's highest suspension bridge — and the Ice Flyer chairlift out over the glacier, which costs about CHF 12 when bought separately.
Three thousand metres is real altitude — move gently, drink water, and expect the temperature to sit far below the valley's even in August. Mornings are usually the clearest for views. Budget 2–3 hours at the top before the ride back down to Engelberg.

Ask “how much is a Titlis ticket” and you will get three different answers, all of them true. Here is the whole board at once, so you can find your own square in ten seconds.
Counter price: roughly CHF 89–96 for the standard adult round trip from Engelberg, plus about CHF 12 for the Ice Flyer chairlift when it isn’t bundled. This is the operator’s own fare, paid in francs on the day.
Online bundle: about $141, which folds the round-trip cable cars, the glacier cave, the Titlis Cliff Walk and the Ice Flyer into one booking with free cancellation up to 24 hours and a mobile voucher — rated 4.7/5 by 583 verified guests. None of the three prices covers lunch at the summit restaurants, the train fare to Engelberg (free on the Swiss Travel Pass, half on the Half Fare Card), or Engelberg parking at about CHF 5–10 a day if you drive. Warm layers cost nothing to pack and a lot to forget — the glacier holds winter temperatures in every month with a name.
One 2026-specific note: from 10 August to 11 December 2026 the revolving Rotair is closed and the new Titlis Connect covers the summit leg — same fares, same attractions, no rotation. That combination makes Titlis one of the cheapest 3,000-metre summits in Switzerland for pass holders. Claim it at the Engelberg counter; online bundles do not apply pass discounts.
Partial rides exist — Engelberg to Trübsee, or Trübsee to Stand — and cost less, but they stop short of the summit station, the glacier cave and the Cliff Walk, which is nearly always the point of coming. If budget is the constraint and you hold any Swiss rail pass, the 50% discount on the full ride beats any partial ticket for value.

Same cable cars, same mountain — it is purely a question of which package fits.
